For many years, the Central Veterinary Hospital has been actively involved in the rescue and treatment of wildlife and exotic animals. The consistency and high quality of these services led to the hospital being officially recognized in 2011 as a trusted center by the Department of Environment of Iran. Since then, it has played a significant role in aiding the country’s injured wildlife—many of which you may already know by name.Notable cases include Pirouz, the cheetah who became a symbol of resilience and the will to live, and Omid Alborz, a bear that suffered a traumatic brain injury following a car accident.Our dedicated team in this department has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of species, including carnivores, ruminants, reptiles, and birds. The Wildlife Department is fully equipped to offer diagnostic, preventive, and therapeutic services to zoos across the country, licensed private wildlife keepers, and referred wild or exotic animals.
